The materials are ready. Tomorrow is World AIDS Day. And this Sunday is Mumbai AIDS Sunday 2015!
Please have a special observance at your time of worship – or during one of your key gatherings during this week. We want to see a united sea of prayer going up to our loving Lord Jesus on behalf of people with HIV. We want to see our hearts stirred with His love into actions that please Him (James 1.27).
Contact us at CORINTH.Mumbai@gmail.com!

Good things can come in small packages!
Take the Mumbai AIDS Sunday Church HIV/AIDS Equipping Resources for example.
Hot off the press. A 40 paged action packed booklet that you can use in your church or youth group or prayer fellowship.
We have worked hard to include up-to-date figures and information – and new testimonies of change from the greater Mumbai area.
Be ready to be blessed!
As you open it up, you will find that there are multiple things inside for you to explore… and use!
To start with – a small write up on the ‘Red Ribbon’…
Then we have a sermon idea – based on this year’s theme of Jesus telling us to “Take Courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
After that, there is a Sunday School / Children’s Bible Club lesson – and a Youth Discussion guide.
We have included Prayer Points as well as ways that the Church can help people living with HIV.
The booklet has answers to frequently asked questions about HIV – and also helps you access the government services that by God’s abundant grace are now available in our city. Addresses of all the main free ART centres in town!
We also have stories. Real stories about real people. People who changed. People who God used to help others change.
And finally we have the list of CORINTH members and their contact addresses.
Please contact us … NOW! for copies. You can call 9321112065 or write a note to CORINTH.Mumbai@gmail.com
We would love you to use this resource – and see God’s love lived out in action!
Time flies when you are having fun. Or not.
Either way, we are thrilled to announce the next edition of the CORINTH Mumbai AIDS Sunday is upon us!
And as before, it all depends on you!
Your churches, your prayer fellowships, your times together – focussed on the needs of people living with HIV. Asking God to intervene. Asking God to awaken His people. Asking our Lord Jesus Christ to share His love, using us as His hands and feet in the great urban sprawl of Mumbai!
Will you please take some time on Sunday the 6th of December and focus your prayers, your sermon, your sharing on God’s heart towards people living with HIV?
Would you be willing to have one of the CORINTH members come and share in your church? How about a person living with HIV?
We need to have our hearts softened. We need to hear the Lord. Now is the time to do it. Please contact us… we would love to help.

Has your church signed up? As of 11.11.14 we have 50 churches who have committed to holding a special AIDS focus on December 7th – and are expecting to hear back from many more. Can we see at least 250 churches across Mumbai lifting up their hands to the Lord – and opening their doors to people living with HIV?
How about your youth? Are they excited about what God is doing?
To get the Mumbai AIDS Sunday 2014 going – CORINTH is thrilled to announce a one-off Celebrating Hope concert which will be held on Wednesday 26th of November at the Bombay Baptist Church in Colaba. We have limited place available and would love to see the place packed with God’s chosen leaders of tomorrow rejoicing with the Joshua Generation band for what promises to be a fabulous time.
Please contact CORINTH if you would like to get passes – email CORINTH.Mumbai@gmail.com
Most of all – it is our prayer and desire that we will not just remember people with HIV on one day of the year – but that we will love our neighbours with HIV/AIDS every day of the year!

the CORINTH Team
Every Dec. 1st the whole world remembers the challenges of people living with HIV/AIDS on “World AIDS Day”.
But do we really? When you hear the word “AIDS” what comes to your mind? Are you afraid? Puzzled? Appalled?
Remember one important thing – every person who has HIV has been made by God and is very precious to Him. And remember another thing – Jesus tells us to love our neighbours as ourselves. That means that we must love people with HIV.
And not only one day a year. Not just by lighting candles and wearing red ribbons. God wants our love to be like His love for us. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3.16-18)
Here in Mumbai God is using His children in the church to love people with HIV. Does our church have people with HIV? We should. We need to be telling everyone about Jesus and seeing people come to the Lord. We should be welcoming people who are sick and in need.
People with HIV do not just have needs one day of the year. Every day is World AIDS Day. People who have HIV need to be loved – by us! God loves us and we need to love each other.
How can we do this? We can start by telling the world that Jesus loves people with HIV – and that we as children of God want to love people to too! We can have our churches pray for people with HIV. We can visit people in their homes. We can pray. We can listen. We can take people to the doctor and to hospitals. We can help people get tested for HIV. We can spend time with their children – we can play with them and coach them. We can help out in many, many, many ways.
Would you like to learn more? Please join us for a special Mumbai AIDS Sunday Praise and Prayer Meeting which will be held on Sunday 5th December from 6.30-9 PM at the Marthoma Church, Mulund (opp. Fortis Hospital).
